County Support Services is a specialist consultancy supporting nursing and residential care homes to achieve and sustain compliance with the Care Quality Commission (CQC) Single Assessment Framework and contractual obligations. We work directly with Registered Managers, providers, and leadership teams to co-produce scored self-inspections, detailed findings, and time-bound action plans—turning compliance from a stressor into a strategic advantage.

Service Improvement & Turnaround
Our Managing Director is a seasoned clinician with a long-standing track record in service improvement, particularly within nursing home environments. He has led turnaround programmes for services facing enforcement action, embedding new systems of governance, quality assurance, and compliance that are both practical and sustainable. His approach is modular, risk-aware, and designed to build confidence across teams.


Mock Inspections
We offer realistic, respectful mock inspections that simulate the experience of a CQC visit. These include unannounced-style walkarounds, evidence sampling, staff interviews, and scored reports aligned to the Single Assessment Framework. Our inspections are designed to identify risks, highlight strengths, and generate actionable plans that prepare services for inspection with clarity and confidence.


Complex HR & Cultural Support
One of our partners brings extensive experience from the HR sector, supporting organisations to address entrenched cultural challenges that often lead to stagnation or cycles of poor practice. We help care providers tackle issues such as low morale, high turnover, and poor accountability—building psychologically safe environments where good care can thrive. Our HR support includes cultural diagnostics, leadership coaching, policy review, and conflict resolution.
